For my gorgeous bestie Leah. As children, the summers were long, our healthy bodies and tanned legs carried us through orchards and fields and we scrumped apples for snacks and rode our bikes for hours and hours. In each other’s rooms we would play our records and wonder what our futures would bring. We giggled until we were breathless. We discovered makeup and applied it so badly during the 70’s, how we had the nerve to go out in public is still a mystery. The fashions, the plimsolls decorated with flowers and peace signs, all make up my memories of my life with my Leah.
